Authenticity guide

How to approach branded goods and authenticity when buying from China

A listing that calls an item genuine does not by itself prove authenticity. We treat branded goods carefully, ask for supporting evidence, and do not accept counterfeit or replica goods. For high-value branded items, independent third-party verification may be required.

01

Start with a specific, verifiable item

Send the exact listing, model code, color, size, and any serial or authenticity information shown by the seller. Vague descriptions make it harder to distinguish a genuine item from a risky listing.

02

Evidence to request

  • Model, SKU, or serial information
  • Clear photos of logos, labels, tags, and packaging
  • Seller authorization or purchase documentation where available
  • Stated condition and any original accessories
  • The exact store or seller that would supply the item
03

Why seller claims are not enough

A seller can describe an item as genuine, official, or original without proof. Low price, copied photos, or vague seller information can be warning signs, but a visual check alone does not establish authenticity.

04

Counterfeit and replica policy

We do not accept counterfeit, replica, infringing, or pirated goods. If a listing cannot be verified or appears intended to imitate a protected brand, the request will be declined.

05

Decision criteria

  • The price relative to normal retail for the same item
  • The seller's willingness to provide serial or documentary evidence
  • Whether the platform and store are appropriate for the brand
  • Whether an independent third-party authentication service is available and acceptable to you
  • Whether the destination permits the branded product
FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Can Orivoya guarantee an item is authentic?

No. Basic photos and seller checks are not professional authentication. We may decline a request or recommend an independent verification route for high-value items.

What if I send a listing that turns out to be counterfeit?

If we identify it as counterfeit, replica, infringing, or pirated, we will not purchase it. We do not assist with fake goods even when the customer found the listing.

Do you recommend a specific authenticator?

We do not recommend a specific third-party authenticator on this site. If independent authentication is appropriate, we discuss the practical options and limitations with you before purchase.

Can a low price still be a genuine sale?

A low price can reflect a promotion or secondhand condition, but it does not prove authenticity on its own. The full seller and listing evidence matters.
